Megan Thee Stallion is letting everyone know what’s new.
Five months after the 31-year-old revealed she and Klay Thompson had broken up after a year of dating—with Megan implying a lack of fidelity at the time—she’s shared insight into how she’s faring post-split.
“I’m trying my best,” she told InStyle in an interview published Sept. 9. “I feel like I’ve been put through the washing machine and the dryer with tins, shovels, and a cactus. It was very rough.”
“How do I want to say this gently?” she mused. “What’s meant for you is always going to work out. And if something is constantly making you feel uncomfortable, just on edge all the time, you probably are not supposed to be there.”
Indeed, Megan (real name Megan Pete) went on to delicately share more information as to why she and the NBA player, 36, went their separate ways.
“I think I just kept trying to make pieces fit that didn’t belong, trying to fit myself into someone else’s life,” she explained. “I was losing myself a little bit. I am now in the space of finding me again.”
