Axl Duhamel is transforming before his dad Josh Duhamel‘s eyes.
After all, the 12-year-old was nearly the same height as the Transformers star during their day at Universal Studios Hollywood with Josh’s wife Audra Mari and their 2-year-old Shepard.
Indeed, Josh held the toddler in his arms while smiling alongside Axl—whom he shares with ex-wife Fergie—and Audra on Aug. 26 by the iconic Universal globe in front of the theme park’s entrance.
For the occasion, the tween stepped out in a black T-shirt and matching shorts, while the patriarch opted for a white V-neck shirt and black shorts. Meanwhile, Audra, 32, wore an oversized green T-shirt and Shepard was dressed in a waffle-knit set.
For Josh and Fergie—who split in 2017 before finalizing their divorce two years later—meeting one another halfway has been a priority as they raise Axl.
“Fergie is an amazing woman. She really is,” the Ransom Canyon actor said on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show in September 2023. “She’s taken Audra in. It could be much worse. That’s the thing: you never know how these things are gonna go.”
