FAN EXPO Canada is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, and ScreenRant will take part once again as a media partner. The four-day convention takes place from August 27–30 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. It is one of 5 conventions put on by FAN EXPO HQ in Canada, which also includes events in Calgary, Vancouver, and Edmonton. The company also runs conventions across the United States, including MEGACON Orlando, and FAN EXPO shows in Denver and Chicago.
The guest list at this year’s FAN EXPO Canada includes big names like Mark Hamill and John Cena, fan favorites from the Lord of the Rings movies, action star Alan Ritchson, cast reunions, and more. Some of these guests, including the Hobbit actors, Hamill, Cena, and Once Upon a Time star Colin O’Donoghue, will have special experiences tied to their panels. There are also special events with comic guests including Frank Miller, Joe Quesada, and Greg Capullo.
FAN EXPO Canada celebrates pop culture across genres including movies and television, comics, video games, animation, anime, and more. Beyond panels and opportunities for fans to meet their favorite stars via photo ops, there are also cosplay meetups, D&D games, live podcast recordings, an area dedicated to kids and families, and workshops.
