Dan Levy is officially making more Big Mistakes, and he is bringing Lorenzo de Moor and Poorna Jagannathan along for the ride.
Here’s what we know about the new season. The two actors have joined Levy’s Netflix comedy thriller, which has officially started filming it’s second season in New Jersey. De Moor will play a character named Leo, while Jagannathan will portray Dréa. Netflix is keeping both characters under wraps, so we do not yet know whether they will help clean up the show’s criminal mess or gleefully make it worse.
Either way, they have joined a cast that already knows a thing or two about spectacularly bad decisions.
The Gang Is Getting Back Together
Levy returns as Nicky alongside Taylor Ortega as Morgan, two deeply incapable siblings whose attempt to help their dying grandmother accidentally pulled them into the world of organized crime.
Season 1 found the pair getting blackmailed into a string of increasingly dangerous assignments. Instead of finding a way out, they continued failing upward and digging themselves into an even deeper hole. Which is very relatable, especially if your family problems involve professional criminals.
Laurie Metcalf will return as Linda, with Jack Innanen as Max, Boran Kuzum as Yusuf, Abby Quinn as Natalie, Jacob Gutierrez as Tareq, Joe Barbara as Mike, Mark Ivanir as Ivan and Ilia Volok as Andrei.
Elizabeth Perkins is also returning as Annette, this time as a series regular. That promotion certainly sounds like more trouble is on the way.

De Moor previously appeared in You, Me & Tuscany, Another Simple Favor and Dolce Fine Giornata. His upcoming projects include Maserati: The Brothers, The Resurrection of the Christ: Part One and the reboot of Cliffhanger.
Jagannathan currently stars in HBO and DC Studios’ Lanterns and recently played Lucky in Hulu’s Deli Boys. She is also beloved for playing Nalini Vishwakumar in the hilarious and queer series Never Have I Ever.
Dan Levy And Netflix Are Not Done Yet
Levy created Big Mistakes and serves as its showrunner, executive producer and star. Rachel Sennott co-created the series, and executive produces alongside Anne-Marie McGintee, Jacqui Rivera and Timothy Greenberg.
Netflix also extended its creative partnership with Levy through a series first-look deal when it renewed the show.
“Very grateful and beyond excited to continue the Big Mistakes adventure and my creative collaboration with Netflix,” Levy said. “Season 2 is already in the works, and it’s going to be wild. I can’t wait to get it out there to everyone as soon as humanly possible.”
Levy previously wrote, directed and starred in the Netflix film Good Grief and appeared in the final season of Sex Education. His Emmy-winning comedy Schitt’s Creek also found a massive global audience after arriving on Netflix.
Unfortunately, it will be a minute before we are back with the troublesome siblings. A release date for Big Mistakes Season 2 has not been announced, as production for the new season kicked off this month. For now, filming is underway, the bad decisions are brewing, and everyone should probably start preparing an alibi.
