Hunter Biden, the son of former President Joe Biden, joked that he is “48.6% gay” in an interview with gay progressive political broadcaster Luke Beasley, published August 17.
During their conversation, Beasley asked Hunter Biden whether he was gay like him. Hunter Biden replied, “Only a little bit.” Beasley then asked, “More or less than 50%?” Biden answered, “48.6.”

Beasley then asked, if Hunter Biden were gay, whether Beasley would be his type.
“No,” Hunter Biden replied. “I think a little bit more masculine would be my type, if I were gay.”

Beasley then handed Hunter Biden a photo of the two men hugging at a political event and asked, “If I’m not your type, then why did you embrace me like this?”
Hunter Biden then noted that the photo was from 2019, before he became sober.
“So when you were an addict, I was more attractive?” Beasley asked.
“Much,” Hunter Biden responded.
Beasley then asked if Hunter Biden was a painter. When Hunter Biden said yes, Beasley quickly responded, “Gay,” and then acted confused when Hunter Biden asked, “What?” Beasley then said, “So you like lots of, very colorful.” Hunter Biden replied, “I do.” Beasley added, “Rainbow colors.”
Hunter Biden later stated that their conversation caused his “gaydom” to go down one percentage point, though later in the interview, he said that his percentage rose back to 48.5%.
Beasley later compiled these moments into a brief video entitled “Tracking Hunter Biden’s gayness throughout our interview,” which included a gay gauge at the bottom of the screen.
Hunter Biden’s joking comments come about a month after his appearance on The Don Lemon Show with gay host Don Lemon, in which he claimed there are many closeted Republican politicians living in DC, though he refused to name any.
