Karl-Anthony Towns Says Jordyn Woods’ Lucky Bag Secured Knicks Win

Jordyn Woods gave Karl-Anthony Towns the ultimate assist.

After the New York Knicks defeated the San Antonio Spurs 94-90 for the 2026 NBA championship June 13, the basketball star (affectionately known as KAT) thanked his fiancée’s lucky purse for helping the team secure their historic win.

“Hey, Papa, we got the bag,” Towns said in a clip shared by the NBA. “The bag made it. The bag’s undefeated, man.”

Towns added, “I want everyone in New York to know that bag won the championship.”

In the clip, Woods held onto Towns’ hand as she sported the team’s good luck charm: an orange clutch from her clothing brand Woods by Jordyn.

But Towns—and Knicks fans—haven’t deemed the bag lucky for no reason.

After all, the Knicks have won every single game this season where Woods has worn the bag. And the most recent time they lost, it was because she had to abide by the no-bag policy at Madison Square Garden during Game 3 of the NBA finals June 8.

As for the accessory’s origin story?
