Bethenny Frankel rips ‘garbouj’ Newark Airport lounge after buying $6K plane ticket: It’s ‘disgusto’

Reality TV

Bethenny Frankel issued a “scathing travel review” while giving her Instagram followers a hilarious guided tour of the international terminal at New Jersey’s Newark Airport ahead of a pricey flight.

“You know I’ll tell you when expensive s–t is not worth it,” the ever-vocal “Real Housewives of New York City” alum reminded her fans in a Reel posted Tuesday.

Frankel panned around the surprisingly small terminal — highlighting the “garbouj” duty-free section and crowded lounge — and labeled the entire space a “really dreck” “non-event.”

“I’m gonna show you the craft services,” she said, going on to film dozens of bags of only Fritos chips scattered throughout, unwrapped muffins mashed into a large serving container, a huge pot containing the remains of chicken noodle soup and a basically empty jar of mostly broken pretzel sticks.

“Next time, I want pretzels that are not all broken, if that’s possible,” she quipped as she gave said snacks the “bombastic side eye.”

Frankel, 52, then showed a meal she had ordered that included tortilla chips, salsa, queso, a chicken sandwich, some fries and a side Caesar salad.

Picking up one of the chips, which looked exactly like a Tostitos Scoop, she joked, “These are made by Jean-Georges; they’re called Tostitos Scoops.”

The Skinnygirl mogul spent the next 10 seconds speaking in a French accent and urging her fiancé, Paul Bernon — who was along for the travels but very clearly trying to keep to himself — that since the chips must be “French,” he should “go for Scoopa.”

The next stop on Frankel’s tour was the bathroom, which she described as “beyond.”

Panning around the less-than-kept quarters, she pointed out a container of Lysol wipes that had been left out on the sink, “two random garbages” sitting next to each other on the floor and a pile of seemingly used towels shoved into a shelf.

“And don’t worry! There’s just laundry in here when you get here in case you wanna do some laundry for the airline,” Frankel shouted sarcastically. “What a s–tshow.”

She then returned to her table to discover that her empty plates had not yet been cleared. And “an hour later,” the majority of the food and snack bins were still empty.

“This is really something else. This is shocking so far,” she said, making sure to document a full trash bag that was “just out” in the open.

“$3,200 one way,” the part-time “Shark Tank” investor revealed, writing atop the video, “This is what you get for $6,400 [round trip]?!”

Frankel made sure to note that she was “flying business class” on French boutique airline La Compagnie.

“Note: The people are working so hard here,” she acknowledged. “I’ll give them a great tip.”

However, her overall “rating” was still “disgusto.”

Though the self-made multimillionaire has been branded “out of touch” for her hot takes in the past, many social media users agreed with her assessment of the lounge.

“For $3,200 one way they had better be cutting my croissant for me,” one jokester commented beneath the clip.

“This makes me feel better that the rich and famous still get to feel humiliated by airports,” another remarked.
