Love is … apologetic?
“Love Is Blind” star Jackelina “Jackie” Bonds issued an apology for the “disrespectful” remarks she made about her former fiancé, Marshall Glaze, in leaked text messages that surfaced online.
“I would like to start this off by saying I sincerely apologize and take accountability for my actions and words in my relationship between Marshall and I,” she wrote in a lengthy caption on Instagram Tuesday.
“I would also like to apologize and take accountability for my disparaging remarks as well in those leaked messages,” the dental assistant added, referring to her calling Glaze “sweet” in messages to her friends.
“It was tasteless and disrespectful to speak about anyone that way.”
Bonds, 27, said that she is now willing to “learn and grow” from this experience, adding that she and Glaze, also 27, “both deserve happiness, peace, and to be able [to] move on from what transpired last year.”

“Marshall and I have personally apologized to each and also took accountability for our actions and have moved on. I would also like to apologize and take accountability to the public as it was done on the show for everyone to see. Actions speak louder than words,” she concluded.
Bonds and Glaze romance publicly played out on Season 4 of the popular Netflix dating show, where couples begin dating sight unseen.
The marketing manager proposed to Bonds in the pods, however, she called it quits when they returned to Seattle and quickly reconnected with Josh Demas, whom she also connected with on the show.
As fans watched “Love Is Blind” play out in real time, text messages were leaked online, allegedly showing Bonds making jokes with her friends about her then-fiancé’s sexuality after he “twerked” on the bed.
“I don’t want to hear y’all at my wedding yelling that he has sugar in his tank either please,” Bonds allegedly told her pals. “I can just hear y’all bitches yelling, ‘HES A TEAPOT’”
Earlier this month, Glaze seemingly responded to the leaked messages on Twitter, writing, “The only ‘sugar’ I got goes on those f–king pancakes 🥞.”
The texts were also addressed at the “Love Is Blind” reunion on Sunday, although Bonds did not attend in person.
In a pre-recorded interview with “Love Is Blind” host Vanessa Lachey, Bonds, who sat alongside Demas, 31, said that she decided to call things off with Glaze because he called her a “derogatory name.”
While the Baltimore native admitted that he said Bonds had a “strong jawline” and “could’ve been a man,” Glaze claimed that he did not use a derogatory remark against his ex-fiancée.
Season 4 of “Love Is Blind” is available to stream on Netflix.
