Here’s The Reality TV I’m Watching This Week

Reality TV

It’s still raining, wintery, and dreary out there. As such, my television viewership has taken a dark turn. Tis the season! Join me for what I’m watching this week if you dare.

Streaming – Hoarders

Did I lie? We are starting strong. This show is darker than dark and enrapturing all the same. I was perusing Season 11 of the show on Netflix when I discovered the most recent Season 13 is available to stream on Hulu. So drop that mop, stop whatever you’re organizing, and get yourself to a couch to watch hoarders face their rendition of a purge. And before you judge me, this is an Emmy-nominated documentary reality series. It’s classy while literally being trashy, okay?

Stream Season 11 on Netflix and Season 13 on Hulu now.

Wednesday – Vanderpump Rules

Speaking of dark, of course we have to talk about Rachel Leviss and Tom Sandoval’s relationship timeline playing out right before our eyes on Season 10 of Vanderpump RulesTom Schwartz really did a number on Sandy’s character during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live last week. The countdown is on to the reunion of this cast. It is sure to be a reckoning of epic proportions. Meanwhile, let’s be sure to catch every single detail surrounding Scheana Shay’s wedding and Katie Maloney’s sandwich shop, shall we?

Watch on Bravo Wednesday at 9 PM ET.

Streaming – The Great Hack

With all the TikTok drama circulating our news channels (and our TikTok FYPs – let’s be serious), this documentary felt timely. It’s a 2019 film that covers the illicit harvesting of personal data by Cambridge Analytica that was initially reported back in 2015. This doc covers both Brexit and the 2016 US election. Brittany Kaiser herself serves as one of the main narrators of the film, too. She gives her insight into US politics, data mining, and her experiences with international figures involved in this scandal. I give it 4.5 tea bags and a full black-out on the Reality dark-o-meter.

Stream on Netflix now.

Streaming – Love is Blind

Locking yourself in a chamber to find love through a wall is already pretty bleak. But enacting a full engagement with someone you just met and you sort of seem to hate, is beyond. I’m telling you, this Pacific Northwest gloom makes people do crazy things. Welcome to Season 4 of Love is Blind. What exactly is Kwame Appiah doing with Chelsea Griffin? Her longing whispers give me major “Get Out” energy. Never trust a life partner whose family is a little too impressed they’ve finally found someone to take them off the market. Last week’s episode dump left us on a cliffhanger while Kwame weighed his options at the altar. Let’s see how this turns out!

Stream Season 4 on Netflix now with new episodes dropping on Friday.

TELL US – DO YOU HAVE ANY RIVETING DOOM AND GLOOM SHOWS TO SUGGEST AS WE TRUDGE OUR WAY TO SUMMER? PREDICTIONS ON WHAT KWAME WILL SAY AT THE ALTAR?
