Real Housewives Of New Jersey Star Jennifer Aydin Says She “Never” Considered Ending Her Marriage After Bill Aydin Was Unfaithful

Reality TV

There’s something to be said for tradition and something to be said for sticking it out. Real Housewives of New Jersey star Jennifer Aydin grew up in a traditional household. Now she’s trying to uphold the same values in her own family.

Fans of Jen know she’s pretty much the real deal. She keeps very little in and does not hold back in sharing her life. Jen also shares her family and hasn’t been shy about the issues they’ve faced. Like most of us, Jen’s family had ups and downs, and Jen watched her parents fall into a less-than-harmonious marriage.

Jen faced her own troubles with her husband Bill Aydin. Right before the birth of their fourth child, Bill had an affair. It all came out in Season 12 and Jen preferred to stay mum on the details because the kids didn’t know about their dad’s indiscretion. Despite their problems, Bill and Jen are sticking together.

In an interview with E! News, Jen talked about the D word and how it isn’t an option for her marriage. People has the details. According to Jen, she isn’t going ANYWHERE. And there’s not a lot Bill could do to push her away.

“Never, not even once. If I didn’t break up with him after him having an affair, I’m definitely not going to break up with him after a little a few hiccups over the children. Parents fight over children, children cause stress to a marriage, but you make it work,” Jen said. I just have this vision of her older parents filming and acting like they despised each other. Sometimes “sticking it out” isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, I guess.

Jen admits “There’s going to be times where he annoys the s— out of me or when I annoy the s— out of him,” but they won’t let a few annoyances get in their way of a happy family. She adds, “That’s marriage — for better or worse, ’til death do us part. I look at him and I’m like, ‘You’re stuck with me.’” Sheesh, as long as it isn’t forced and all parties agree

Obviously, Jen wasn’t thrilled when her husband’s affair was revealed, but reality television isn’t the place for secrets so… live and learn. She said, “It was supposed to be in the vault and never brought up again. When I say I told nobody, I didn’t tell my mother, I didn’t tell my sister, I didn’t tell my best friend.” Perhaps Jen was embarrassed because the affair took place during a pregnancy. Or maybe Jen didn’t want to be judged for staying with a man who broke his wedding vows. That said, there is no vault on RHONJ, the head woman went to jail for god’s sake.

She added, “I didn’t want anybody to see any type of red flag.” Ah, there it is. “So I just went through the motions and put on a brave face and did everything I thought a good wife and mother was supposed to do while being crushed inside ultimately.”

Jen’s method of healing from Bill’s cheating included doing nothing for herself to recover except push the entire event out of her mind. But out of sight, out of mind means very little when cameras follow you around all day.

While Bill initially wasn’t keen on attending therapy to try and repair any breaks in their marriage, Season 13 found him giving in. In August 2022, Jen and Bill celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary.

Bill and Jen can breathe a sigh of relief. As long as Luis Ruelas has a pulse, the only marriage on RHONJ under constant scrutiny for suspicious activity is Teresa Giudice’s.
