‘Teen Mom’ alum Ryan Edwards arrested for harassment, drug possession

“Teen Mom” alum Ryan Edwards was arrested Friday for allegedly harassing his wife, Mackenzie Edwards, after police granted her an order of protection.

The reality star, 35, was also booked on possession of drugs and a controlled substance, according to a press release from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.

The arrest comes after Ryan took to Instagram Thursday to bash his wife and post a revealing photo of her.

“If you guys have never seen a spineless slut this is one,” the former reality star captioned a photo of what appeared to be Mackenzie’s chest in a now-deleted post.

He then alleged, “They take your money sleep with anything that looks at them. But they must have a wife to [sic]. God what a joke. It’s sad really.”

Mackenzie, 26, went to the police on Friday morning to report that her husband had posted “revealing photos of her to his Instagram account,” according to the release.

“The photographs did not show nudity, but were revealing,” the officers noted.

Mackenzie also claimed that Ryan tried to contact her father to pass along a message to her that he’d be picking up his belongings from their home. This was a violation of the protective order issued on Thursday.

Aside from the allegations, police said Ryan had an outstanding warrant for harassment, in which Mackenzie was named as the victim, that was taken out on Wednesday.

As a result, the troubled TV star was taken into custody at his place of place of employment. Police said they found him in possession of drug paraphernalia and two bags of suspected narcotics, which led to the additional charges.

A spokesperson for the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office’s could not immediately be reached for comment for more information on whether he is still in custody.

Ryan rose to fame in 2009 on the premiere season of “16 & Pregnant” alongside his then-girlfriend Maci Bookout.

Then then-expecting teens documented on the show and its spinoff franchises, including “Teen Mom,” their journey into parenthood as they raised their son Bentley, now 14.

However, Ryan’s substance abuse issues and run-ins with the law have also played out over the years.

In March 2018, he was arrested for violating his probation on a heroin-related charge, and Bookout, 31, obtained a restraining order against him shortly after.

Ryan was then arrested a second time in July 2018 for possession of heroine, and ordered to was given a short prison sentence six months of probation.

Amid his battle with addiction, MTV fired Ryan from “Teen Mom OG” in 2021.

During that time, Ryan had already moved on with Mackenzie, whom he married in 2017. They share two kids: Jagger and Stella.

Mackenzie did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment on Ryan’s arrest.
