‘RHONY’ star Jenna Lyons: ‘Everyone was surprised’ when Lizzy quit

Reality TV

“Real Housewives of New York City” newbie Jenna Lyons was shocked when former co-star Lizzy Savetsky bowed out of the Bravo show.

“I think everyone was surprised,” the former J. Crew executive, 54, told Page Six exclusively at the American Museum of Natural History Gala in New York City earlier this week.

“I think, you know, it’s a complicated situation, but I’m really, like, for sure [wishing] the best [for her].”

In November, Page Six exclusively reported that Savetsky, 36, quit the “RHONY” reboot over claims she experienced a wave of anti-Semitic criticism from the moment she signed on to do the show.

Multiple sources previously revealed that the social media influencer, who is Jewish, allegedly “experienced hate from fans for being pro-Israel.”

Savetsky herself then confirmed her departure, saying in a statement on Instagram that she had been on the “receiving end of a torrent of [anti-Semitic] attacks,” adding, “As this continued, I realized that this path was no longer right for me and my family.”

However, Page Six subsequently learned that there was more to Savetsky’s hasty exit.

Multiple insiders told us that Savetsky and fellow “Housewife” Brynn Whitfield had been engaging in a conversation about marriages between Jewish and non-Jewish people that later resulted in the alleged use of racial slurs.

According to sources, Savetsky believed Whitfield — who is half black — planned to tell other cast members that the proud Zionist used the N-word during their call.

We were told Savetsky’s husband, plastic surgeon Dr. Ira Savetsky, then allegedly used the full N-word while recounting the discussion to production.

Despite the drama that has already taken place, Lyons is having a blast filming the show.

“It’s actually been really fun,” the fashion designer also told us at the gala.

“The crew is incredible. The women are amazing. I’ve been having a great time. … I was a little nervous, obviously, but it’s been great.”
