Lala Kent calls Randall Emmett not ‘a good person,’ fears daughter will date similarly

Reality TV

Lala Kent fears her daughter will end up with a man like Randall Emmett, whom she described as not “a good person.”

During a powwow with “Vanderpump Rules” co-star and fellow mom Scheana Shay, Kent expressed the concerns she has for Ocean while dishing on co-parenting the 1-year-old with the disgraced movie producer.

“I think my biggest fears are future based — just with everything that has gone on,” the Give Them Lala Beauty founder, 32, admitted during Tuesday’s episode of Dear Media’s “Scheananigans” podcast.

“What I’m going to say to Ocean when she has questions, like, if I’ve shared anything that she may look at me and be like, ‘Why did you share that?’”

Kent, 32, explained, “I never want my child to end up with someone like who I was with. … And then I also feel like I have a duty to other women. … I just hope that when she gets older, she looks at me and feels inspired and isn’t embarrassed.”

Shay, who shares 1-year-old daughter Summer with husband Brock Davies, applauded her friend for speaking out about her “toxic” relationship with Emmett.

“You may be saving [Ocean] from getting into a future relationship like that,” the Viva Verano founder, 37, told her guest, who replied, “That is my biggest hope in the world. I want her around men who represent what they should.”

Kent welcomed Ocean in March 2021. At the time, she was engaged to Emmett, 51.

But seven months later, the reality star dumped the filmmaker on the heels of a cheating scandal that seems to have gotten the ball rolling on his very public demise.

“Randall always lives a double life,” a source alleged to Page Six last October. “He lives the life of a husband or boyfriend, and then he lives the life of a serial partier and then goes on a bender.”

Kent told Shay she hasn’t seen Emmett “since [she] left” and that the two speak “strictly” about their daughter using a specific app that ensures “everything’s documented properly.”

“My situation would be different if I was dealing with someone who was a good person and I just, like, got cheated on. Like, I could definitely co-parent, we could spend holidays together, like, no big [deal],” Kent said.

“[But] because — we’ll put it kindly — that person and I are not in alignment morally, I feel like it’s best for myself and just what I need to do in business to not be associated with him.”
