“Selling the OC” star Tyler Stanaland isn’t ready to let cameras inside his marriage with Brittany Snow.
“I don’t know about the future,” he said on Wednesday’s episode of the “Reality Life with Kate Casey” podcast. “But in this specific season, you won’t see my house, you won’t see my wife.”
The professional surfer-turned-real estate pro, 33, noted that he “wanted to keep certain parts” of his life “private” as he entered the unscripted space.
“And as time goes on, maybe that’ll be different,” he continued. “But for right now, that was kind of the one thing that made me feel safe embarking on such a strange journey.”
Stanaland wed the “Pitch Perfect” actress, 36, in March 2020 after two years of dating.
The reality star detailed the origin of their romance with host Kate Casey.
“We kind of met through mutual friends, but how we started talking was through social media. I slid into her DMs,” he said.
“But there was some connection points that we kind of knew who each other were and then suddenly, it ends with the worst pick-up line ever. And she somehow resigned and are married.”
The cringeworthy pickup line was uttered at an event where Snow “looked” amazing, Stanaland recalled, “And so I said, “Babe Town, USA, population, YOU. Nothing else, just that.”
Stanaland is one of several Oppenheim Group agents who star on Netflix’s “Selling Sunset” spinoff. One dramatic storyline involves accusations that cast member Kayla Cardona tried kissing the married man — twice.
“One night, Kayla did try and kiss me. And then it happened another night as well,” he claimed. “And so on the show, out of respect for her, I am just kind of trying to minimize it and brush past it so that there isn’t drama. We can all focus on what we should be doing.”
Stanaland noted that the alleged incidents — which weren’t caught on camera — forced him to “set some hard lines and some boundaries” with Cardona.
“Nothing happened,” he said. “It was just … something that, you know, you don’t do to somebody who is married.”
