Four Tet has shared a new track, “Scythe Master.” It appears on a new compilation from Eat Your Own Ears Recordings, EP 1, which comes on a limited cassette as well as digitally. The EP also features new tracks from Mount Kimbie and Sylvan Esso, as well as a previously released Ride mix from the Cure’s Robert Smith.

In a press release, Kieran Hebden said, “Shout out the magical powers of EYOE and the Scythe Master. Long may their musical offerings continue to bring bliss to this world.” Four Tet’s last studio albums were Parallel and 871, complementary LPs that followed the preceding Sixteen Oceans. He released Sound Ancestors with Madlib last year. He recently went to court and won a streaming dispute with his former label Domino; while that was going on, he put out a track under his KH alias.
