Noella Bergener Blames Estranged Husband For Missing A Court Date Resulting In A $450K Judgment Against Her

Reality TV

Noella Bergener’s messy life saga continues. The Real Housewives of Orange County rookie took quite the beating from castmates on the show. But that’s nothing compared to what she’s dealing with off-camera. Back in April, she was hit with a whopping $450K judgement after allegedly ditching a court appearance. Now she’s asking telling the court they got it wrong and blaming estranged husband James Bergener for the missed court date.

As reported by Radar Online, Noella is begging a judge to throw out the judgement against her. The bill stems from money owed to her former divorce attorney. Back in 2014, Noella hired the law firm Fried and Goldman to represent her on a paternity case for her daughter from a previous relationship.

The court battle went on for years and Noella had quite a substantial bill when all was said and done. Once the case was settled, the firm claimed that Noella failed to pay her $293K bill. They filed a suit against her and demanded that, plus $116K in interest and another $5K for fees. A source close to the Noella said that she believed that the father of her daughter was responsible for the bill. She alleged that it was part of their divorce settlement and that the suit against her was “unfounded.”

The filing was then made by a debt collection company, Creditor’s Adjustment Bureau. They asserted that Noella was served at her Orange County home. But in a new filing by Noella, she said that never happened and that she wasn’t even aware of the suit. According to Noella, she alleged that James “engaged in mail forwarding services to divert some of the mail from the Residence to James’ office or some other residential address for James.”

James supposedly blindsided Noella with a divorce in July of 2021 and moved out of their home. The well-known injury attorney then moved to Puerto Rico, she claimed. The aftermath of the breakup played out on RHOC. Noella said that the process server said they served court documents to a 38-year-old, 5’11 white woman. And that no-one in her household fits that description.

Noella is demanding that the judgment against her is thrown out and requested that the court allow her time to respond to the original compliant.
