Unfortunately for Teresa Giudice, the overwhelming consensus about her fiance Luis “Louie” Ruelas is not good. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star has defended him all season from her castmates. But it’s not just her RHONJ cast members who are concerned for her.
As reported by Heavy, Tamra Judge took to an episode of her podcast, Two T’s In A Pod, and had a pretty unflattering comparison to make about Louie. Tamra finds Louie reminiscent of Brooks Ayers, one of the greatest villains in housewives history. Vicki Gunavlson introduced Real Housewives of Orange County viewers to her new boyfriend Brooks in 2010. He quickly drew criticism and doubts about his alleged cancer diagnosis. Thanks to the investigative skills of cast member Meghan King, Brooks was outed for lying about his “treatments.” Vicki stood by his side until 2015, when she finally saw the light and dumped him.
Aside from literally everyone else on the RHOC cast, bestie Tamra tried to warn Vicki. But to no avail. So Tamra explained the parallels she sees in Tre’s relationship with Louie and Vicki’s time with Brooks. Said Tamra, “I learned my lesson with Vicki when she was dating Brooks. I knew he was not a good guy, I know he wasn’t the guy for her, but I spoke out about it and it backfired in my face.” She added, “At the end of the day, obviously, I was right, but it was so cringey the things he would do and say and the multiple cards. Luis is doing the exact same thing that Brooks would do to Vicki.”
RHONJ star Margaret Josephs, who was aguest on the episode, threw in her two cents. Marge agreed, “I know, and it’s upsetting. People are like, ‘You’re being shady, you don’t want her to be happy,’ I was like, no, I’ve been around the block. I’m a grown woman. Teresa’s had horrible things happen to her. You know, these things are out there, I didn’t dig for them.” Margaret has been the most vocal about her Louie concerns, drawing Teresa’s ire. The two recently had an explosive fight over it on a cast trip to Nashville.
Tre and Louie started dating in late 2020 and after years of being unfulfilled in love, Teresa fell hard. But red flags quickly appeared in the media. An ex accused Louie of being sex obsessed and controlling. On an episode of RHONJ, Louie chalked it up to a woman scorned. A controversial video also surfaced, which featured Louie at some kind of warrior camp. In the video, he begged an ex to take him back and get married. During the same episode, he didn’t really have an excuse for that one. And the househusbands who were asking had no choice but to let it go.
But we are already seeing Margaret’s attempts to get through to Teresa about as effective as Tamra’s when she was trying to help Vicki. Marge has maintained that she only does it because she’s protective of Tre. She stated back in January, “If you truly care about someone and truly like someone it’s important to be honest with them.”
