The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 12 trailer dropped and needless to say, it was EXCITING. For me, last season brought the franchise back to life with all the Erika Jayne drama. And this season teases “friend of” Kathy Hilton as a possible villain, despite being last year’s fan favorite. So how does Kathy cause so many issues? For starters, she was accused of getting into a fight with staff at a club on the cast trip to Aspen.
Next, Lisa Rinna claimed that Kathy sent her a cease and desist and called her out for missing the season finale party. Finally, Erika alleged that Kathy used a slur against Sutton Stracke’s assistant. Which is featured in the trailer itself.

Kathy and her rep denied both the Aspen club fight and C&D. They also denied that Kathy was even supposed to attend the season finale. And Sutton has since come out and assured us that Kathy has been “nothing but kind and respectful” to her assistant. But the trailer also shows Lisa stirring the pot about her treatment of sister Kyle Richards. So what gives and why is everyone after Kathy? Well, castmate Garcelle Beauvais is coming to her defense.
Garcelle recently spoke with Page Six and and called Kathy “a great woman.” Said Garcelle, “They tell us [the trailer] is coming, but they don’t give it to us. And so I watched it on my phone as I was getting glam for tonight, and I was like, ‘Oh, my God.’”

She continued, “I thought it was good. I thought it was strong. I thought it highlighted sort of the things that, that people are gonna have conflict [over] this season. And then I think, you know, the Kathy thing, I don’t like.”
Garcelle added, “I think she’s a great woman, and I think the show thrives on drama.” That is an understatement to say the least. Either way, it sounds like Kathy and Garcelle solidified their bond as friends this season. Kathy recently revealed that she spends the most time with her.
She stated, “And I would say that the one I spend the most time with would probably be Garcelle. In fact, I’m gonna go and do a week on her show [The Real]. So that’ll be fun. And I just heard I have to be up at four in the morning.”
