Mazel to the (gratefully) one and only. Abhishek “Shake” Chatterjee. He has achieved his dreams and landed a woman he can lift onto his shoulders. E! News has announced that Shake has a new lady. He took to Instagram on St. Patricks Day to make things social media official with a white blonde woman. And it has me thinking…should he have just focused his Love Is Blind time on vapid Shaina Hurley instead? I would pay extra to watch how these two were in the pods.
Shake wrote a caption dedicated to his latest conquest. He wrote, “Good things come to those who don’t settle,”with a heart emoji. In the photo, Shake and his new lady, named Emily, were on a carousel. One photo showed the couple kissing.
While I would love to share some fan comments, Shake, for once, is shying away from any criticism. He turned the commenting off on his post. No doubt because the Deepti Vempati fans would have something to say about his use of the term “settle.” If you watched season 2 of Love is Blind, you know Shake made a concerted effort to be the reality TV villain of the year. It’s like he thinks there are awards or something.

Deepti and Shake ended up engaged on the show, and when they first met, sparks seemed to fly. Shake told “Deeps” that he wanted to put babies in her. It was painfully cringe. And it somehow only got worse from there. Shake went on to refer to his fiancé as an aunt-like figure, insult her weight during the reunion episode, and even attempt an attack on Nick Lachey.
As for her post-Shake-recovery, Deepti seems to be doing well. Rumor has it she and Kyle Abrams have hit it off. Deepti has said,“We built a strong foundation in the pods…So you know, it’s not just out of nowhere.” Of course, Kyle was formerly engaged to Shaina. I really think these two mis-matches should have made a simple swap. Shake with Shaina and Kyle with Deepti. That is, if Shaina’s family considers climate conscious electric vehicles “American” enough.
