Her mom doesn’t mess around.
Jennifer Aydin revealed on Tuesday night’s episode of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” that her mother, Josephine Altinel, vowed to go after Margaret Josephs for bringing up Dr. Bill Aydin’s decade-old affair.
“She was, like, cursing out Margaret. She was like, ‘We’re going to get her back,’” Jennifer, 44, told her brother Steven over lunch, recounting a phone call she had with her mother, who had been spending time in the family’s native Turkey.
“Is she mad at Bill?” Steven then asked, to which Jennifer replied, “I’m sure some Middle Eastern part of her thinks that men do this sometimes and it’s OK.”
The Bravo star said in a confessional that she wasn’t “in a rush” to tell mer mother about Bill’s previous infidelity unearthed by Josephs, 54 — but felt it was only right to share the story herself.
“Since I told my children and my siblings, I wanted to tell her before somebody else did,” Jennifer explained.
The mother of five — who shares kids Justin, 17, Gabriella, 14, Jacob, 13, Christian, 11, and Olivia, 10, with Bill, 43 — told Steven that she is “f—king suffering” in her marriage as old feelings have seemingly turned into resentment.
“I told him, ‘Show that you f—king care.’ … I don’t want to turn into Mom,” she told Steven, acknowledging their mother’s fraught relationship with their father.
“I don’t want to be married 50 years with him and then think that my life passed me by,” she added.
Jennifer later suggested that her union with Bill is hanging by a thread after his tryst came to light.
“I don’t think it’s fair for anybody to stay in a relationship where they’re not happy,” she told the camera. “I’m questioning my marriage, the trust we have for each other and that’s scary for me.”
Josephs revealed on the “RHONJ” Season 12 premiere that Bill, a renowned plastic surgeon in the Garden State, cheated on Jennifer with a pharmaceutical rep years ago.
Last month, Jennifer exclusively told Page Six that she “never told a soul” about Bill’s affair — and is perturbed that Josephs somehow discovered what she calls her sole “skeleton.”
“You do not want Margaret to be your enemy. She is a digger and she could find out things. She’s got a big Rolodex of people in her friend group. I wouldn’t put anything past her,” Jennifer told us at the time.
“She’s very focused when she wants to find out something about somebody.”
