Jen Shah’s Trial Has Been Postponed From March 2022 To July 2022

Reality TV

After watching the current season of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City play out, I almost forgot that Jen Shah is really in jeopardy of going to jail. The ladies fought about memorial dates and Mary Cosby more than they brought up the fact that Jen’s being accused of defrauding elderly folks as part of a telemarketing scheme. Am I living on Jen Shah’s planet of delusion? Maybe her tactics of distracting us from the real problems at hand are working, to some extent.

To put it bluntly, Jen’s been handling the aftermath of her arrest horribly. It’s like she doesn’t understand that she’s really going to be facing a judge in court at the end of all of this. She’s done everything to try to get her case dismissed, but it isn’t working. She’s even resorted to GoFundMe campaigns, begging her fans to demand her presidential pardon, and publically begging Kim Kardashian to join her defense. Truly, her behavior is absolutely wild to watch.

Now, according to a report from OK Magazine, RHOSLC fans will have a little longer to watch Jen’s road to court. Her trial, which was initially set for March 22, has been pushed back to July 11. Regardless of when the trial is, fans are sure to tune in however they can to watch Miss Shah defend her case. I have so many questions though — is Stuart Smith going to flip? Will Meredith Marks be on the witness stand (probably not, but I can dream)? Is Jen going to have a meltdown in court and lash out against the judge for singling her out for being a “celebrity?” No fictional courtroom TV show could even come close to this level of drama.

I am selfishly glad that now we may get to watch Jen on Real Housewives a little longer, depending on the outcome of her case. The ladies are currently filming the second season, sans Mary or Jennie Nguyen. That means that come July, showrunners will likely want to have cameras ready as Jen prepares to take the stand. It’s unfortunate for Jen, but Shah-mazing for my TV viewing habits.
