Japanese Rock band Otoboke Beaver have announced the new album Super Champon, set for release on May 6 via Damnably. The record will follow the quartet’s 2019 LP Itekoma Hits. The new album opens with the 2020 single “I Am Not Maternal,” which just got a new music video. Watch the new clip below; scroll down for the Super Champon cover art.

Lead vocalist and guitarist Accorinrin, guitarist and voaclist Yoyoyoshie, bassist and vocalist Hirochan, and drummer and vocalist Kahokiss comprise Otoboke Beaver. They recorded Super Champon at at Osaka’s LM Studio with Ippei Suda. In addition to “I Am Not Maternal,” the reocrd features the band’s 2020 single “Dirty Old Fart Is Waiting for My Reaction.”

“Champon,” according to a press release, “is a Japanese noun meaning a mixture or jumble of things of different types.” Otoboke Beaver said of their album in a statement, “It’s a mixture of songs from love to food, life, and JASRAC. Our music is genreless and has various elements. We hope that it will be our masterpiece of chaos music. It also sounds like champion.”
