[Trailer] Soulslike RPG ‘Thymesia’ Delayed to 2022, Adds PlayStation 5 And Xbox Series Versions

Horror

Originally slated for a December 31st launch, developer OverBorder Studio and Team17 have announced that their upcoming action RPG Thymesia has been delayed into 2022. It’s not all bad news, however, as the developer announced via a new trailer that the game will be coming to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles, in addition to its original Steam release.

According to OverBorder, the reasoning for the delay was to release Thymesia “in the best possible state”, and in order to do that, the team needed more time in order to polish the game. “It is important to us as game developers to put out something we’re proud of, and we can’t wait for you to enjoy the experience we’ve created next year when it’s fully ready.”

Thymesia tells the story of a kingdom that discovers there’s a price to pay for dabbling in alchemy. The resulting attempt to stop its use resulted in the kingdom being swarmed with monsters. It’s up to Corvus to stop the monsters, as well as reclaim his memory in the process. In order to do so, Corvus must harness the power of the plague from boss monsters in his quest, granting him new abilities.
