Sonja Morgan Wants Dorinda Medley, Tinsley Mortimer, And Jill Zarin Back On Real Housewives Of New York City

Reality TV

After a relatively disastrous season of Real Housewives of New York, viewers are practically begging for a cast shake up.  No, they are demanding it.  Because Season 13 was such a dry downer that ratings dropped dramatically.  What happened to the good times?  Of course, covid took a toll on the lavish vacations, but the dynamic was just so different this season that a lot of viewers couldn’t adjust to it.

RHONY lost a core duo last season.  Tinsley Mortimer left to find love in Chicago.  Without her main target present, Dorinda Medley started lashing out at the rest of the cast.  This behavior got her fired, and opened the door for the addition of Eboni K. Williams and Bershan Shaw.

Eboni was a great friend to Sonja Morgan and Leah McSweeney but rubbed Ramona Singer and Luann de Lesseps the wrong way.  Some ladies weren’t ready to ponder social justice.  Arguably, Eboni could bring her message to a more appropriate forum.  Indeed, the RHONY star revealed that she would be interested in joining The View.  Does that mean she is out for Season 14?  Will Bershan take her place as a full time cast member if she leaves? Lots of questions.

Well, Sonja has some opinions about how to fix the cast dynamic.  She revealed to Us Weekly that she’s not “adverse to anyone coming back.”

First off, there’s room for one more even if all the ladies return for Season 14.  And Sonja would be happy to work with anybody, even going as far back as Jill Zarin returning.  She explained, “we definitely need more girls because we only have five.  So that’s it, I would want anyone back. I liked working with everybody and I think the show is fantastic and here’s hoping to Tinsley [Mortimer] coming back, Jill, oh, Dorinda [Medley], of course, would be great. Anyone! I’m best friends with Dorinda, I’m very close to Jill and I love Tinsley even though we fight like sisters.”

Tinsley and Sonja were a great duo when she first moved back to New York.  But would she and Dorinda be able to coexist on the show?  It seemed that Tinsley’s relationship with Scott irked Dorinda because of the lack of transparency.  Now that Scott is out of the picture, maybe the two ladies would be able to mend fences.

What about the idea of Jill returning?  She hasn’t been on the show since Season 4 with Ramona, Luann and Sonja.  At least these core group of friends could entertain us with their interactions.  Ramona and Jill often had conflict in the early season, it would be fun to revisit that dynamic a decade later.
