It’s obvious that Real Housewives of New York is NOT having its best season by a longshot. Truthfully, it’s sad considering the RHONY girls had a reputation for bringing it year after year. Their dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, a stressful election, and a veryyy small group of women. And while it’s clear there’s a lot going on both on and off the screen, the ladies are, in the words of Bershan Shaw, kind of being boring grandmas. Bring back Dorinda Medley and the Berkshires — the stakes are dire.
Rumors have been swirling that RHONY is in for a major shake-up. There’s been talk that OG Ramona Singer might be getting the boot. Apparently, filming the reunion is on hold amidst talk of bad ratings for the longtime series. Fans are pointing their fingers at everyone, from Leah McSweeney’s behavior to Eboni K. Williams‘ push to get the ladies to confront their white privilege. The silver lining, as always, is Sonja Morgan who brings the funnies week after week, since all of the women are really lacking on storylines this time around.
And while I know people have lots of feelings about Eboni, I feel for her. She’s the first black RHONY housewife and trying to fit into a group of girls who aren’t always the best communicators. And she’s been receiving heat from fans for “ruining” the show, even though there are PLENTY of other factors involved in this year’s snoozefest.
And since rumors of a cast shakeup began, some people think Eboni is to blame for the Ramonacoaster potentially coming to a final stop.

Eboni, however, is defending herself, as she should. In an exchange captured by @commentsbybravo, Eboni responded to a headline that suggested RHONY producers aren’t happy with Eboni for “sabotaging the show” and calling for Ramona to be fired. “All lies. Literally every single headline here is a complete untruth. Stay blessed and have a blessed weekend,” she wrote.
And that’s on that. Don’t come for Eboni unless she sends for you. But it does beg the question of who behind-the-scenes is trying to get Ramona ousted and what direction Bravo will take to make RHONY fun again.
