Captain Glenn from Below Deck Sailing Yacht is teasing a new romance amid rumors involving his deckhand, Sydney Zaruba. Sydney was a part of the boatmance that led to the awkward love triangle between Alli Dore and Gary King.
Sydney was welcomed aboard the Parsifal III on the second season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht season two. She joined the deck crew along with Gary, Jean-Luc Cerza Lanauz, and Colin Macrae. On the cast’s first night out, she hooked up with her boss. The Floridian caught feelings but didn’t realize that Gary regretted the interaction. This led to some uncomfortable work nights off as Sydney was obviously upset and took her anger out on Alli.

Recently, there have been rumors that Sydney and Captain Glenn were an item. But the leader dropped anchor quickly on those lies and took to Instagram to clear the air. He posted a picture of himself with his deckhand as they were all dressed up and smiling for the camera. He wrote, “I guess the news is out. And the news is: Syd and I are great friends. And she’s dating a captain. A different Captain.”
Nautical lovers will recall that Sydney mentioned she had a new love in her life during the reunion, which happened to be the captain of the boat she was currently working on. Viewers immediately jumped to the conclusion she, the blonde, must have crawled into bed with Captain Glenn. But that just isn’t the case. It seemed the two reality stars have a bit of fun at fans’ expense. During the tell-all, Captain Glenn noted he was not seeing anyone but also was not celibate. The light-hearted joke was funny, with fellow castmate Colin Macrae replying, “Don’t screw the crew, Glenn come onnnn.”
The reunion itself may have been the best one in Below Deck Sailing Yacht history as Dani Soares revealed that her boy toy, Jean-Luc was indeed the father of her baby. The 25-year-old deckhand had his own opinion and asked for a paternity test that did not go well. Alli also revealed she was expecting her first child with her new boyfriend back in Australia. Hopefully, season 3 brings back Captain Glenn, and most of the crew since the mix of drama and sailing was the perfect match.
