When Tinsley Mortimer left Real Housewives of New York to live with Scott Kluth in Chicago, the fans were happy for her. Tinsley spent her time on the show talking about her desire to get married again and eventually become a mother.
An instant after Tins left the show, Scott popped the question. They didn’t tie the knot, blaming the pandemic for a “postponement.” However, it looks like that wedding just isn’t going to happen.
Scott, a guy who doesn’t even have a public Instagram and hated being on RHONY, publicly announced their split during a People interview. How weirdly public. And, it gets even stranger than that.
Aside from plugging his business CouponCabin (I’m a Rakuten customer myself and refuse to consider Scott’s company at this point), Scott said that they ended their engagement “several months ago.” So why is he speaking out now? After years of doing zero public interviews, this is just so unexpected for many reasons.

Scott said, “After fourteen months of engagement, Tinsley and I have ended our relationship, and we have been living independently for the last few months.This was an incredibly difficult decision, but it is one that I believe is best for both of us. I will always care about Tinsley and I sincerely wish her happiness and success in all that she does in the future.”
Then, Scott pulled the privacy card, after he was the one who gave these statements to People. He said, “While I understand this news will be of interest to many, I ask for privacy and understanding during this time as I continue to work on recovering emotionally from the end of our relationship.”

Well, Tinsley hasn’t shared her official statement on this. However, a source who is supposedly “close to the couple” said Tinsley was “blindsided” by the split. Same here, and I wasn’t the one engaged to Scott.
This same person said, “This was not mutual, she was blindsided. She’s on the floor heartbroken and devastated. She left everything for him because she didn’t think he’d ever call off the engagement. She trusted him that this time was going to be different.”
Is it too late to toss an apple in Tinsley’s direction? Can we get her a suite booked at a New York hotel and back in the RHONY fold?
