I thought Thomas Ravenel “leaving” Southern Charm was something everyone was happy about. Yeah, he provided some interesting storylines. However, he also pleaded guilty to sexual assault.
Quite frankly, he should have been fired long before he “left” the show in 2018. At least in my opinion. Hopefully, most people feel the same way. However, Shep Rose is on the fence with this one.
Shep dished on Thomas‘ Southern Charm exit in a book excerpt shared by Us Weekly.
Shep confessed, “I have mixed emotions about his absence from the show. I won’t get involved with the details because it is none of my business, but I’ll just say this: He put himself in a really bad position and paid for it, and he’s done that a couple times.” That’s putting it mildly.
“I wish him well, though, and miss talking to him about whatever he was passionate about that day or night,” Shep wrote.

While Shep apparently misses discussions with Thomas, he did reprimand him for his actions. Well, sort of. Shep presumably didn’t touch upon Thomas’ many legal issues.
Shep said that he dislikes “seeing his lingering anger and his lashing out” at Patricia Altschul. Shep shared, “I do think Thomas convinced himself that she was the architect of his demise, which is absurd, in my opinion.” No, Thomas was responsible for his own downfall thanks to his continued reprehensible behavior.

Shep wrote, “He torched the bridge between them and he continues to firebomb it, which saddens me.” Right, as if the beef between Thomas and Patricia is the most controversial issue related to T-Rav. I’m curious to know if Shep condemns Thomas for the sexual assault that he pleaded guilty to in that book. However, I don’t see that one happening.
