Below Deck Star Captain Lee Rosbach Says He Wouldn’t Work With Elizabeth Frankini Again; Elizabeth Says He’s “Completely Checked Out” And He Allowed Francesca Rubi To Be A Terrible Chief Stew

Captain Lee Rosbach Below Deck

Was Elizabeth Frankini the best stew in Below Deck history? Nope. Not by a long shot, but neither was Francesca Rubi. These two couldn’t get on the same page professionally and personally during the most recent season. Ashling Lorger doesn’t think the firing was personal, but Elizabeth (and many Below Deck viewers) beg to differ.

The firing was definitely pretty strange though. Captain Lee Rosbach didn’t fire Elizabeth himself. Instead, he had Francesca do it. Not only that, but she got the boot right before the end of the charter season. What was even the point of that? Why not do it sooner?

Well, it seems like there will be no redemption season for Elizabeth. One of our favorite readers (hi, Mags), tweeted Captain Lee, asking, “would you give Elizabeth another chance for a future season?” In response, he said, “Nope.”

Well, Elizabeth saw that tweet and she had a lot to say during a follow-up interview with ShowBiz CheatSheetElizabeth came out swinging against the longtime fan favorite. She remarked, “I just want to say that Captain Lee, he’s miserable and judgmental. And after living through this experience like I wouldn’t want to work with him again either.” Obviously, neither Elizabeth nor Captain Lee really has the full decision-making power on this. After all, this is a reality TV show that is put together by a production company that makes these calls.

Elizabeth claimed, “He’s completely checked out, which is understandable.” Captain Lee was grieving the loss of his son Joshua, who died via an accidental overdose. He was also hospitalized during the first episode.

Elizabeth continued, “He allowed Francesca to be a terrible chief stew.” And if we are assessing people based on that logic, is it Captain Lee’s fault that Elizabeth wasn’t a great stew. I mean, she made mustard gas. He taught her how to iron. However, Elizabeth usually had a good attitude when she received feedback and she always seemed to be genuinely apologetic for her mistakes.

Elizabeth said, “Basically unchecked the entire season and then relies on watching the edited show to form his final opinion. Because he wasn’t involved enough to actually know what was going on in his own boat. And behind the scenes, I was being bullied and treated way worse than I think the camera showed.”

“On the show, I thought we never had a problem. He always saw me running around. I thought we had a great relationship. I wouldn’t think he’d do that either and I thought he had my back,” Elizabeth said. Alright, girl.

Elizabeth concluded, “As a captain, I thought he recognized my dedication and my abilities as a stewardess. So it was shocking.”
