Batman vs. Black Panther: Who Would Win in a Fight | Screen Rant

Movies

Batman and Black Panther are among the most formidable and resourceful warriors in comics. Both are expert fighters with sharp intellects who have faced enemies both on the streets and among the cosmos. But if the DC and Marvel universes were to ever meet and these two heroes were to clash, who would be the victor?

The king of Wakanda and the billionaire prince of Gotham City both possess vast riches that allow them to buy the most advanced suits, weapons, and vehicles. As the head of a nation with a seemingly endless supply of Vibranium, T’Challa has infused his suits with the precious metal, allowing him to stop bullets, absorb kinetic energy, and occasionally display other powers such as invisibility and even flight. He has access to powerful and ancient weapons like claws, energy daggers, and Vibranium spears. Batman’s suit is reinforced with armor to protect him from bullets, knives, radiation, fire, and other powerful attacks. His utility belt has an endless supply of tools including Batarangs, grappling hooks, smoke grenades, and even Kryptonite.

Even stripped of their suits, Black Panther and Batman’s skills as fighters are almost unmatched. After the death of his parents, Bruce Wayne traveled the world and trained himself in dozens of different forms of martial arts and hand-to-hand combat. Batman has earned his reputation as the World’s Greatest Detective, as his genius-level intelligence makes him a brilliant inventor and scientist who is also an expert in forensics, chemistry, stealth, and espionage. He is a master strategist who has even devised plans for taking down every single member of the Justice League. Meanwhile, T’Challa is fiercely intelligent, possessing a PhD in physics from Oxford University. His duties as leader of a nation require him to be a keen politician and strategist as well, in addition to his abilities as a scientist, tracker, and inventor.

Black Panther Comic

One major advantage Black Panther has over Batman is his superhuman abilities. His consumption of the Wakandan heart-shaped herb gave him enhanced strength, speed, agility, healing, and reflexes. He has a mystical connection to the Panther God Bast, and he has been trained in sorcery and magic. One of Batman’s trainers was a magician, but his actual command of mysticism is limited. Black Panther also holds the status of King of the Dead, which allows him to communicate with his ancestors and call on those who have passed to reanimate and aid him in battle. The most tangible connection Batman has to his dead ancestors is his mother’s pearls, which don’t really come in handy in a fight.

Both are incredibly determined and willing to push themselves to the limit to achieve their goals. Batman has appointed himself as Gotham City’s protector and guardian and will never rest as long as its people need his help. Black Panther holds the dual role of king and superhero, meaning he has to fight to protect the world while also acting in the best interests of his subjects and country. One difference between the two is Batman has sworn he will not kill his enemies, as he will not bring himself down to their level. Black Panther is reluctant to kill, but has shown he is willing to take that step if necessary, like the time he left Namor to die on an alternate Earth that was about to be destroyed.

These two heroes have fought criminals, gods, and supermen, but if pitted against each other they would both face one of their toughest matches. Ultimately, the most likely winner is Batman. He possesses skill, determination, and intellect that is unrivaled and has allowed him to prevail against some of the strongest villains in comics. Black Panther is certainly no slouch and would not go down without a fight, but even the King of Wakanda would fall to the Dark Knight.
