Developers One More Level, 3D Realms, and Slipgate Ironworks have announced that their cyberpunk slasher Ghostrunner will not only be receiving a free “Hardcore Mode” update in the new year, but a paid cosmetic “Winter Pack” DLC. “Hardcore Mode” is available today for PC and will launch on December 17 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, while the Nintendo Switch version receives it on January 14, 2021.
Hardcore Mode is essentially a New Game Plus mode, where you can start a new game with all of the upgrades you’ve received in the game at that point.
Meanwhile, the Winter Pack DLC grants you the Cold Snap Katana and Cold Blood Glove for some visual flair. You can grab them for $1.99 today for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The Switch version will launch alongside “Hardcore Mode” on January 14.
The devs are promising more content for Ghostrunner in the near future, which you can keep an eye on in the game’s official Discord channel.
