On a recent podcast episode of Higher Learning with Rachel Lindsay and Van Lathan, the 30-year-old opened up about her least favorite part of her season. Tayshia was not very pleased about not getting the usual ”red carpet treatment” that most Bachelorette’s get. Due to Tayshia being cast last minute to replace Clare Crawley for bowing out two weeks in, Tayshia wasn’t given the same luxuries as lead from the past. “Obviously it kind of sucked not to be announced the way that every Bachelorette has been announced or not to experience all of that excitement beforehand,“ she explained. “Because when I did get the phone call, I left quite soon after…it just, it happened so quickly I didn’t really have a moment to sit back and say, ‘OK, this is what’s happening, I’m thinking this, I’m feeling this way.‘” Other than the rush of the start of the experience, Tayshia would not change the way she entered her season. “That part kind of sucked, but other than that, I’m so happy it happened the way it did.” she added.

Overall, Tayshia seems really pleased with the way her season turned out and is excited for the rest of the world to see how her story on the show ends. While she may have been a last-minute addition to the show, fans have been calling for her to be The Bachelorette ever since she graced the viewers screen back in 2019. Now that Clare has left the show to get engaged to Dale Moss after meeting two weeks earlier, the 39-year-old has decided to reintroduce her self to her fans post-reality TV. ”Hi. It’s me, Clare. Not Clare that you have seen edited on your television or social media squares. But the human one with feelings, insecurities, emotions, and a normal life just like you,” she explained. Clare went on the reveal that just like everyone else she has her good days and her bad days and that everyone is going through something no matter how big or small. She has been to her best to rise above the negative energy and focus on herself and her new fiancé, Dale.

Even though Tayshia did not get the traditional Bachelorette experience, she is proving to the viewers she is one of the best leads in the history of the franchise.
