Currently, Candiace Dillard’s biggest adversary is Monique Samuels, followed close behind by Ashley Darby.
Last season on Real Housewives of Potomac, Candiace’s biggest foe was her own mother, Dorothy Dillard, even though she Wass paying Candiace’s bills. Dorothy tried to get Candiace to uninvited her half-brother from her wedding. She also slapped Candiace in the face with a big purse during a disagreement. Dorothy and Candiace had so much drama last season that Dorothy got her own segment on the reunion.
During Candiace’s recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen pretended that a fan asked read a question from a fan who asked, “Why didn’t you press charges on your mom when she slapped the side of your face with her big-ass purse?” Of course, that was in reference to Candiace pressing charges against Monique following their physical altercation.
Candiace began, “Everybody’s mom…” Instead of finishing that sentence, Candiace declared that “a good mother will slap you upside your face.” What now?

Then, she actually answered the question, saying, “I’m not gonna press charges [against] my mother. That’s my mother.”
And then, she revisited how it was totally fine that Dorothy smacked her in the face with a handbag. Candiace said, “That’s a good mom. She’s gonna give you a good pop.” And just a reminder, Dorothy is a therapist. Every time she’s on screen, I imagine what it would be like to have a session with her.

Then, Andy awkwardly asked Summer House star Hannah Berner, “Hannah, has your mom ever hit you in the face with a big-ass purse?” Hannah gave a long pause before she said, “No, but umm… I probably deserved it a couple times. Didn’t get it.”
