‘The Batman’ Writer Will Direct Sci-fi Thriller ‘Mother/Android’ Starring Chloe Grace Moretz

Horror

Fresh off writing The Batman for Warner Bros/DC, we’ve learned via THR tonight that Mattson Tomlin has set up his feature directorial debut, a sci-fi/thriller titled Mother/Android.

The Batman director Matt Reeves will produce, with Chloe Grace Moretz starring.

“Moretz is set to star as Georgia who, with her boyfriend Sam, goes on a treacherous journey to escape their country, which is caught in an unexpected war with artificial intelligence. Days away from the arrival of their first child, the couple must face No Man’s Land— a stronghold of the android uprising, in hopes of reaching safety before giving birth.”

Mother/ Android is a deeply personal story inspired by sacrifices made to bring me into this world,” says Tomlin. “I’m thrilled to be working with Miramax and my friend Matt Reeves to tell a story that speaks to the strength of humanity in the darkest of times.”

Producers also include Adam Kassan, Rafi Crohn, Bill Block and Charles Miller.
