‘Shahs of Sunset’ to tape ‘WWHL’ special reunion

The “Shahs” are coming back.

The “Shahs of Sunset” cast is sitting down to virtually tape a “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” special reunion within the next two weeks, multiple insiders told Page Six. The special will be similar in style to the “Summer House” reunion that aired in May.

One insider noted that the reunion will not air until July, although Season 8 of the Bravo series finished airing in May.

Reza Farahan has been keeping fans updated on the status of a reunion on social media, but did not go into detail on why the taping was held up for so long. However, his costar Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi told us earlier this month that fans have the COVID-19 pandemic to thank.

“It’s a blessing in disguise,” Gharachedaghi, 38, said at the time. “This COVID-19 thing, in so many ways, it has been a blessing that it made us get this whole massive delay on a reunion because now I get to not be pregnant and I get to bring out the person in me that a lot of people are very familiar with, you know, because there has been a lot of — a lot of — behind the scenes s–t going on. And I’m just happy to not be pregnant so if we do have that reunion anytime soon, I can really serve it.”

The reunion won’t be short of any drama as the new mom teased, “There’s a lot of behind the scenes drama between that little guy, MJ’s friend that came on the show and started accusations. And there’s legal stuff now that are continuing to go on and on. And there’s certain rumors and lies and videos and surveillance has come up that people have that we’ve seen. So it’s just it’s been a lot.”
