90 Day Fiancé’s Stephanie Says Erika Tried to Do a Spin-off With An Ex 3 Weeks After Breakup

Things did not end well between Stephanie Matto and Erika Owens on this season of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 DaysAlthough the two women ended their relationship, Stephanie still has plenty to say about Erika. During a recent Instagram tirade about Erika’s behavior on the show, Stephanie also claimed that her former girlfriend tried to get her own spin-off show with an ex just three weeks after their breakup.

Stephanie fell in love with her Australian girlfriend online and decided to make the trek halfway across the world to see if their relationship could work in person. When she arrived, however, things between her and Erika were immediately awkward. Stephanie didn’t feel comfortable with physical intimacy and failed to show Erika even the most basic affection. She was uptight and conservative in comparison to her sexy online persona, and she dealt with a range of jealousy issues that controlled her reactions with Erika. The two women fought constantly, in large part because Stephanie seemed to have a problem with everything. While Stephanie came across as controlling, manipulative, and overly emotional during her time on the show, she’s now claiming that Erika was no angel herself.

After the tell-all episode on June 7, Stephanie took to Instagram to provide some background information on her frustration with Erika. First, she posted private Instagram messages between her and Erika on her story. In the messages, Stephanie clearly explained that she was celibate and that she felt too self-conscious to have sex at the moment. She blurred out Erika’s replies, but she captioned the messages with a statement saying she was very vulnerable about her issues. She claimed that Erika’s confusion stemmed from the fact that she didn’t really take the time to get to know Steph. Stephanie then went on to say that Erika made assumptions about her based on her online profile, but didn’t bother to watch videos where Steph explained her issues with intimacy and her more conservative approach to sex. While Stephanie’s first comments raised some questions about Erika’s behavior, Steph wasn’t done yet. She continued to post on her story, this time claiming that Erika was back together with her ex just three weeks after Stephanie left Australia. Not only that, but she was trying to coordinate a new spin-off show with her new partner. While revealing this information, Stephanie wrote, “ELATED I never trusted her. If your gut tells you not to trust someone there is a reason.” Last, but certainly not least, Steph doubled down on her assertion that Erika did have a dating app on her phone during filming. Stephanie claimed that the Bumble bizz profile Erika posted while the season was airing was fake and not at all what Steph was referring to when they got in the argument at the beginning of the season. Stephanie certainly had some tea to spill in the aftermath of the reunion. The question is, should her statements be trusted? Stephanie looked terrible during this season of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 DaysMany fans hated her and stated that much of her behavior with Erika was totally out of line. Her latest Instagram tirade could be her attempt to save face by placing the blame on Erika. Unfortunately, Stephanie isn’t going to change her reputation at this point. While her statements do cast some doubt on Erika, they don’t undo an entire season of bad behavior from Stephanie.
