You’ll not have to wait long for Resident Evil 2 to cross over with Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. In fact, you can delve into it today!
That’s right, the event quests for the Resident Evil 2 collaboration start today with the latest update to Iceborne. The RE2 collaboration will take place today at 7pm EST, where hunters can acquire materials upon completing the event quest (MR20 or above) to craft Leon α+ and Claire α+ layered armor sets, along with three Raccoon City-themed pendants to spruce up their favorite weapons. Additional rewards for completing the event quest include two new gestures, allowing hunters to shuffle like zombies, and even zombie bite a nearby monster to deal damage. Your Room will take on a Raccoon City theme, with a variety of themed decorations, including a typewriter and item box (which of course includes the ability to save game progress and store your items respectively).
If that’s not enough, Tyrant is showing up in the form of “The Handler’s Terrifying Tyrant” paid DLC costume, which transforms The Handler into a trenchcoat-wearing, quest journal-wielding brute to join hunters on quests, prepare meals at camp, and even appear in cut-scenes.
Oh, and that PlayStation 4-exclusive Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds collaboration announced back in August? That happens this month, as well! Mark November 21st on your calendar for when you can play as Aloy from The Frozen Wilds.
The first round of the collaboration gives players who are MR24 or above a chance to craft a Light Bowgun based on Aloy’s Stormslinger Prototype. The collaboration quest will reward players with special materials used to craft the Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds equipment. Additionally, hunters will receive a Pendant designed as Aloy’s Focus that they can attach to their favorite weapon upon completing this quest.
