Amazon Lists the Director’s Cut of ‘Midsommar’ for UK Blu-ray Release in October

Horror

While Ari Aster‘s extended Director’s Cut of Midsommar was recently released in select theaters, the bummer is that it’s not actually scheduled to receive a psychical release here in the States. Aster’s follow-up to Hereditary is arriving on Digital and On Demand on September 24, and on Blu-ray Combo Pack (plus DVD and Digital) and DVD on October 8.

The Director’s Cut, however, will be exclusive to Apple TV here in the U.S.

But over in the UK, Amazon’s listing suggests, the Director’s Cut of Midsommar will be hitting Blu-ray! According to Amazon.co.uk, the UK Blu-ray is releasing on October 28.

In the States, of course, you’ll need a Region Free player in order to watch the disc.

Julieann Stipidis reviewed the 171-minute Director’s Cut for us, writing:

“After witnessing the more comprehensive version of Aster’s vision in this (nearly) three-hour film, I’m happy to say I prefer this cut in spades.”
