There has been no official word from Netflix on The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance season 2, but that isn’t unusual for the streaming giant. Generally, Netflix waits about four weeks after a show’s release before announcing whether or not it’s returning for another season. This is the amount of time that Netflix believes it takes most of their subscribers to watch and finish a series – the main metric by which Netflix decides to renew a show or not. And seeing as season 1 arrived on Netflix in late August 2019, it’s likely the company will announce either The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance‘s cancellation or season 2 renewal in late September 2019.

The Wall of Destiny is another important relic in 1982 film that has yet to revealed on the series, and that, too, will need to explored in upcoming seasons of The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (were they to happen). Not to mention, Age of Resistance introduces its own plot threads that can further explored in future episodes, like Deet’s fate.
