Word on the street is that Gizelle Bryant has something to say about Bethenny Frankel walking away from Real Housewives of New York.
On Monday, August 26, the Real Housewives of Potomac star sat down with People to spill the tea on her fellow OG’s abrupt exit from the New York franchise just as filming began on Season 12.
“I kinda want to say I was shocked, but not really,” Gizelle explained during an episode of PeopleTV’s Reality Check. “I kinda felt like at the reunion she had that expression on her face like, ‘I’m done.’”
While blindsided fans may not have caught that same vibe from Bethenny during RHONY‘s Season 11 reunion, Gizelle credits her experience on RHOP with helping her read between the lines.

“Maybe it’s because, you know, I’m a Housewife,” the Potomac OG told guest host Daryn Carp (a.k.a Andy Cohen‘s longtime assistant) and People‘s Dave Quinn. “I’ve been doing this so long, so you know when somebody’s invested. And you know when they’re kinda like, ‘uhh, I’m not here for this anymore.’”
However, Gizelle had an equally strong opinion about Queen B’s eventual second return to the franchise that made her a household name. (After exiting in the wake of RHONY‘s third season, Bethenny made her triumphant first comeback during Season 7.)

“Bethenny, I feel like, can do whatever she wants to do, clearly,” Gizelle said. “I think she’ll be back. That’s my prediction! She’ll be back. I think she just needs some time off…take a break.”
When it comes to her own future on RHOP, Gizelle revealed that when she started filming Season 1, she promised herself that she’d give the opportunity “a five-year run” despite not initially knowing the show would become part of the Housewives franchise. However, she has (thankfully!) since changed her tune.

“Y’all gon’ have to kick me off this show kicking and screaming,” Gizelle said with a laugh. “I’m here till the wheels fall off.”
