Bon Iver: i,i [Jagjaguwar]

Justin Vernon released his fourth Bon Iver album digitally a few weeks before it was originally scheduled to arrive on August 30. The record features many collaborators, including James Blake, Bruce Hornsby, Jenn Wasner of Wye Oak, and Spank Rock, to name a few. In his review of the album, named Best New Music, Matthew Strauss writes that, on i,i, “Justin Vernon takes the Bon Iver sound and reassembles it like a cubist collage, with his voice right out front.” Check out Pitchfork’s track review of “Hey, Ma.”
