Kasia joined MANGO last May as International Retail Director for Northern Europe. In her new role, she will help drive the company’s 4Es Strategic Plan (2024-2026), focused on strengthening MANGO’s business model, expanding its physical store network, and optimising the performance of its more than 2,960 points of sale worldwide. During the transition, the Northern Europe teams will continue to report directly to Kasia on a temporary basis.
Mango has appointed Katarzyna Niemirowicz-Majtas, known as Kasia, as Chief Retail Officer and a Steering Committee member, succeeding César de Vicente.
The former H&M Group and & Other Stories executive will lead global retail and commercial operations across more than 120 markets, supporting the 4Es Strategic Plan and nearly 2,960 points of sale worldwide.
MANGO’s new Chief Retail Officer has over 20 years’ experience in global executive roles. Before joining MANGO, she held a number of senior commercial positions across the fashion industry globally, including at H&M, where she most recently led commercial strategy for around 20 countries, overseeing approximately 18,000 employees.
Throughout her career at H&M Group, Kasia held key leadership roles, including as Country Manager in strategically important markets, such as Italy, where she managed operations involving nearly 4,500 employees, and Spain and Portugal, where she drove business performance and profitability across the Iberian region. She also brings extensive international commercial experience from her time at & Other Stories, where she led sales and expansion strategies across multiple markets.
“I am taking on this new challenge with the goal of enhancing operational excellence, driving profitable growth across our commercial network, and elevating the experience of our MANGO customers worldwide, working hand in hand with an exceptional team,” said Katarzyna Niemirowicz-Majtas.
Reporting directly to MANGO Chairman and CEO Toni Ruiz, Kasia will bring her extensive commercial and leadership experience to the continued development of MANGO’s integrated physical and digital retail network. Her appointment reinforces MANGO’s commitment to the “Empower” pillar of its 4E Strategic Plan, which focuses on attracting top international talent to support the company’s growth ambitions in the coming years. In addition, it strengthens the female presence on the Management Committee, which with Kasia’s incorporation reaches almost parity.
