Take, for instance, when Wicked stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo stopped by in November to record a trendy rap about their characters’ friendship, and the bop racked up over 117 million views on TikTok and remained an earworm for weeks.
Viewers were also treated to Grammy winner Bad Bunny serving as Jimmy’s cohost in January and got to see the pair surprise unsuspecting subway riders with a free concert.
Last summer, rising superstar Chappell Roan appeared and, in addition to referencing RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Sasha Colby by saying, “I’m your favorite artist’s favorite artist,” the “Good Luck Babe!” singer prompted a viral moment by asking Jimmy, “Did you not know who I was before?”
