‘Big Trouble in Little China’ Actor Peter Kwong Has Passed Away

Big Trouble in Little China actor Peter Kwong passed away in his sleep on Tuesday night. He was 73.

He played Rain, serving Lo-Pan as one one third of the elemental masters known as the Three Storms, in John Carpenter’s 1986 cult classic.

Kwong’s other notable film credits include The Golden Child, Gleaming the Cube, Cooties, Never Too Young to Die, and Theodore Rex.

He also appeared on such TV shows as “Full House,” “Drake & Josh,” “The A-Team,” “MacGyver,” “Lethal Weapon,” “My Wife and Kids,” “Wonder Woman,” and “King of the Hill.”

In addition to acting, Kwong was an accomplished martial artist and dancer; served on the SAG National Board of Directors, AFTRA National Board of Directors, and Television Academy Board of Governors; and was an activist against anti-Asian stereotyping in Hollywood.
