‘Suits LA’ Trailer: Stephen Amell’s Stylish Spinoff Features the Return of Harvey Spector!

Suits fans aren’t going to object to this news.

The first trailer for the beloved series’ upcoming spinoff Suits LA dropped Jan. 24, and it teases the return of Gabriel Macht, who played Harvey Specter on the original show for all nine seasons.

Stephen Amell takes center stage as the show’s protagonist Ted Black, “a former federal prosecutor from New York, has reinvented himself representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles,” according to a November press release for the series. However, that New York connection isn’t all Ted and Harvey share as the end of the new trailer shows Ted and pal Kevin (Troy Winbush) looking at an old photo that shows him on what appears to be a baseball team with Harvey, implying a history with one another.

At the end of the new trailer, Ted and another character look at an old photo that shows him on what appears to be a baseball team with Harvey, implying that they have a history with one another.

“Remember this guy?” Kevin asks. “I never liked him, the only person I knew that was cockier than you.”

To which Ted muses, “Harvey, from the old days. That’s exactly why I liked him.”

The tease reflects what Gabriel had previously posted announcing his appearance in the upcoming spinoff back in November, writing, “When an old friend is in need. It’s time to take care of things and make those very ‘things’ right.”
