Kelly Clarkson Files New Lawsuit In Legal Battle With Ex-Husband Brandon Blackstock
Turns out, Kelly Clarkson doesn’t need anyone underneath the tree.
In a new visualizer video for the talk show host’s new When Christmas Comes Around…Again album, she appeared to subtly shade her ex Brandon Blackstock, whom she divorced in 2020 after seven years of marriage.
The video, shared to YouTube Dec. 18, includes a classic yule log burning animation, featuring some personal touches around the fireplace—including stockings depicting her and her ex’s kids names, River, 10, and Remy, 8, as well as one for herself emblazoned with “Mom.” As for her ex? A fourth stocking was hung up on the chimney with care, but simply read, “Nope.”
And while the light jab may raise eyebrows for some of Kelly’s fans, she’s been very clear that her past relationship was “limiting” for her—especially when it came to blending romance with business.
“I don’t feel like that’s necessarily the truth for all marriages, I just think that was for in my case,” Kelly explained on the We Can Do Hard Things podcast in 2023. “If you’re on the same path at the same time—and you’re actually working together, and every day communicating together and doing the work—I think that it could be beautiful.”
