Candiace Dillard Bassett is on the mend.

Six weeks after welcoming her and husband Chris Bassett‘s first child together, a son named Jack, The Real Housewives of Potomac alum revealed she’s experiencing some post-baby health complications.

“I have a blood clot in my left ovary, and I’m having to do blood thinners because of that,” Candiace exclusively told E! News’ Francesca Amiker at the Ebony Power 100 Gala in New York City Nov. 17. “But it’s working, it’s fine. I’m doing my shots twice a day and just looking at my son and realizing that, whatever hapens, it’s all worth it.”

Noting that she “had a time just getting out of labor,” the 37-year-old jokingly added, “Post-partum is ghetto. Put that on a shirt.”

However, Candiace wouldn’t change her motherhood journey for the world.

“It’s other-worldly,” the “Drive Back” singer gushed of her first few weeks with Jack. “It’s an amazing, indescribable feeling. I don’t yet have words to explain it. I’m a different person, a different woman. I’m new. I’m also tired and a little raggedy at times.”
