Flying Lotus has shared the first teaser trailer for his new film Ash. Starring Eiza González and Aaron Paul, the movie focuses on an “ordeal of psychological and physical terror” that ensues after a woman on a distant planet awakens to find her crew killed. Ash also features a new original score by Flying Lotus. Check out the clip, which features plenty of psychedelic horror imagery, below.
Flying Lotus first announced production on Ash in 2022, with Tessa Thompson and Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the lead roles; the actors were replaced by González and Paul, respectively. The musician’s follow-up to his 2017 body-horror debut, Kuso, was written by Jonni Remmler and will be available on the streaming service Shudder in 2025 following a theatrical release. The film also stars Iko Uwais, Beulah Koale, and Kate Elliott in supporting roles.
