Psychological Survival Horror Title ‘Pneumata’ Arrives August 20th [Trailer]

Survival Horror fans will get one more treat before the summer is out, as Perp Games and Deadbolt Interactive have announced that Pneumata is finally arriving on August 20th for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. In addition to the digital release, those who want a physical copy of Pneumata snag one next month on September 13.

In case you missed Thomas’ preview a few months back, Pneumata will have you questioning what is reality, and what is insanity in “one of the scariest psychological horrors in years.” The tenants of Clover Hill are going missing or left in pieces. As David, a former detective, you must unravel the truth that lies within the town, recover your fragmented memories, or succumb to the horrors that lurk in the shadows.

Designed and developed by a solo developer as a “passion project”, Pneumata features not only psychological horror, but also a bit of cosmic horror to cover the gamut. Using your detective skills, you’ll examine crime scenes and piece together clues and evidence in order to solve a series of gruesome murders. All the while, you’ll explore a realistic and gritty apartment building, uncovering hidden areas and pathways.

And seeing as this is a Survival Horror title, expect to scavenge for weapons and ammo, with the latter being in short supply.
