Bruce Springsteen Stars in New Episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm

Music

Bruce Springsteen made a surprise appearance as himself in the penultimate episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm. Find photos from the episode below. Some light spoilers are ahead.

Misjudging Larry David as a hero, Springsteen organizes a meeting with David, who is awaiting trial in Georgia for offering water to a voter outside of a polling place. After a brief discussion about restaurant health inspection grades and David’s affinity for floor sex, Springsteen and David get into a minor quibble about whose water glass is whose. When both men contract COVID-19, David is faulted for the cancellation of Springsteen’s final stop on his farewell tour and must face the ire of his fans. (And, don’t worry, Springsteen’s real, ongoing tour is not a “farewell,” and not even peptic ulcer disease can stop it.)

Springsteen made a cameo earlier in the new Curb Your Enthusiasm season; in an episode called “The Lawn Jockey,” the musician appeared during an MSNBC segment to praise Larry David for his heroic (but very accidental) act in Atlanta. “Larry David took a big risk. He put his name and his body on the line,” Springsteen said in a fake Morning Joe clip. “Involvement. That’s Larry David’s middle name. Larry ‘Involvement’ David.”
